Biography
Research interest
Prof. Thinah Moyo is an Agricultural Economist, with expertise in statistical packages for social scientists. My career interests include collection, collation, analysis and dissemination of empirical evidence on smallholder farmer development, rural livelihoods, value chain analysis, Water-Energy-Food nexus, smallholder farmer market participation and evidence-based policy analysis aimed at improving the quality of life of smallholder resource-poor farm families. I have research interests in Livelihoods, Value chain analysis, Water-Energy-Food nexus, Food systems, Climate variability adaptation, Poverty alleviation, Project Management, Linking farmers to markets, Smallholder farmer development, Land issues and Comparative research, particularly in the SADC and sub-Saharan Africa. Previously, l participated in a number of agriculture and rural development projects in a few SADC countries. In my career life, l have worked both individually and as part of research teams. I am an Associate Editor for the Namibian Journal of Environment (NJE).
